Down for the Count are a function band I formed in 2005. We perform at wedding receptions and corporate events throughout the UK and internationally, for clients including BMW, Virgin, Lindt and E-On at venues including Claridge's, Wembley Stadium and The V&A.
The vintage version of Down for the Count. This mini big band performs at events throughout the UK and internationally, including shows at top vintage festivals and jazz clubs such as Ronnie Scotts, Pizza Express and Hideaway Streatham.
Bella and the Bourbon Boys perform retro covers of modern pop songs, in the style of Postmodern Jukebox.
In our first year of gigging, we have performed for AXA, Triumph Motorbikes and at venues including The Savoy, The Science Museum, ExCeL London, and La Mamounia Marrakech.
I am an experienced session pianist and engineer, with a small home studio where I can track keyboards, vocals and small instrumental groups. I can also write, arrange and track piano and keyboard parts online.
On Sunday 13th March I’ll be directing Down for the Count at Hideaway Streatham – one of my favourite venues in London. It’s a really great event, as you can combine so many good things – Sunday lunch, live music, dancing, and beer!
Here’s a video of us performing there as part of London Jazz Festival in November 2015; you can get your tickets for Sunday’s gig here.
